About the Job
Welder & CWB Technical Lead (Red Seal).

Location: Maple Ridge, BC (Ruskin Area).
The "Easy Commute": Conveniently accessible from Mission, Abbotsford, Langley, or the Tri-Cities.

Shift: Monday – Friday | 8-Hour Day Shift.
Compensation: $38.00 – $45.00/hr + Profit Sharing & RRSP Matching.

A Century of Stability. A Future of Innovation.
Join a global leader with a legacy of precision. While Tsubaki has been a mainstay in Canadian manufacturing since 1973, our parent company was founded in Japan in 1917. We are world-renowned for our power transmission and chain products, built on a foundation of quality, longevity, and the "Tsubaki Standard."

We are currently modernizing our Ruskin facility by integrating CNC and Collaborative Robotics (Cobots). We are looking for a Red Seal Journeyperson with a CWB Welding Supervisor designation to anchor our technical standards as we grow.

The Role: Craftsmanship Augmented by Tech.
In this role, your expertise is the priority. We are introducing Cobots not to replace the welder, but to augment the craft. The Cobots handle repetitive, high-volume tasks, allowing you to focus on high-skill assemblies, custom fit-ups, and maintaining our CWB technical excellence.

As our Designated CWB Supervisor (Technical/Quality Focus):
  • Technical Authority: Act as our primary liaison for the CWB Representative; manage all CWB paperwork, procedures, and welder qualifications.
  • Precision Fabrication: Layout and weld components (hubs, sprockets, and chain drums) using arc and gas equipment.
  • Quality Leadership: Perform visual inspections and use precision tools (calipers) to ensure every piece meets our global standards.
  • Modernization Lead: Work alongside our new automated systems, ensuring the "human element" of quality is maintained in every weld.

Why Tsubaki? (The Total Package):
  • A Better Commute: Located in the Ruskin area, our facility offers a smooth drive for those living in Mission, Abbotsford, Langley, or the Tri-Cities. Skip the bridge-and-tunnel gridlock and spend more time at home, not in your vehicle.
  • Financial Growth: Competitive hourly rates, RRSP Contribution Matching, and a Profit Sharing program.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Full Health, Dental, Vision, and Flexible Medical/Flex coverage.
  • Tooling & Safety: Annual Boot Allowance and a clean, organized shop environment.
  • Work-Life Balance: A reliable Monday–Friday day shift. No weekends or overnight shifts.

What You Bring:
  • Certification: Valid Red Seal Journeyperson Welder certification (Required).
  • Designation: Current CWB Welding Supervisor accreditation.
  • The Craftsman Mindset: You take pride in your work and are excited to see how modern automation can improve ergonomics and shop efficiency.
