Production Controller

Mississauga, OntarioFull-time
About the Job
The Opportunity:
Are you a data-driven professional who thrives at the intersection of supply chain and shop-floor execution? Join our Mississauga team as a Production Controller. In this critical role, you will be the architect of our manufacturing flow—managing MRP, maintaining complex Bills of Materials (BOM), and ensuring our production lines never stop.

As a key member of the Manufacturing department, you won’t just manage inventory; you will drive the efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and delivery performance that fuels our national and export success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Precision Planning: Run and analyze MRP reports to identify demand signals and shortages. You will proactively create work orders and validate lead times to ensure we meet our "On Time, First Time" delivery goals.
  • Technical Data Integrity: Create and maintain highly accurate BOMs and manufacturing routings. You’ll collaborate closely with Engineering and Production to ensure our ERP data perfectly reflects our shop-floor reality.
  • Strategic Procurement: Manage the lifecycle of raw material purchase orders. This includes negotiating with suppliers on pricing and lead times, and building the relationships necessary to expedite critical components.
  • Inventory Optimization: Maintain the "Goldilocks" zone of inventory—ensuring we have exactly what we need without carrying the cost of excess or obsolete materials.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the primary liaison between Sales, Engineering, and Production to align material supply with evolving market demands.

What You Bring:
  • Experience: 2–3+ years in production control, materials management, or supply chain within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • ERP Expertise: You are a "power user" of ERP systems. While experience with QAD is a significant asset, proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is required.
  • Analytical Mindset: You enjoy digging into Excel and MRP logic to solve complex logistical puzzles.
  • Lean Thinking: An understanding of lean manufacturing principles and a desire to support cost-reduction and process-optimization initiatives.
  • Communication: The ability to endear yourself to cross-functional teams while holding suppliers and internal stakeholders accountable to deadlines.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Why Join Us?
We live by our KPIs—Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). In Mississauga, you will be part of a high-performance culture that values "ownership-oriented" mindsets. We provide the systems (QAD, WMS) and the support network; you provide the discipline and expertise to help us scale.
